This residence is an exploration of juxtaposition. In redesigning the original language of the house, it was important to ensure that the contrasting elements could share the same spaces in a manner that felt authentic, yet unexpected.
The exterior façade is a nod to the Parisian cityscape, where old and new blend harmoniously yet contrast to define each other. The interior continues this style with classical detailed moldings that have a heavy presence through-out; this is balanced by the clean lines of modern cabinetry and carefully selected finishes of differentiating textures. A muted lime wash paint palette blends these elements and adds another layer of aged character to the residence.
